When she leads, change follows
It’s with great sadness that the Board of Shadhika shares the news of our founder Juthica Stangl’s passing on December 11. Her legacy and passion to improve the lives of girls and women in India is an inspiration to us all. We are sharing a statement from her family.
As we reflect on Juthica’s incredible vision and the impact she inspired, we are reminded of the bittersweet chapter ahead for Shadhika. As you know, the organization will be sunsetting by June 2025 —a decision made with deep consideration and care. While this was not an easy choice, we take comfort in knowing that the values Juthica championed will continue to inspire action and change long after our doors close.
With your help we surpassed our goal of $250,000. If you wish to still contribute, the last day to donate to Shadhika is February 20, 2025. This will allow us sufficient time to complete the legal and administrative steps necessary to close the organization.
