We understand your concerns about safety and security for the donations you make through Shadhika. We respect and protect the privacy of our donors and never share donor information.
What information does Shadhika collect?
We collect personal information you submit to us voluntarily. “Personal information” is data that can be used to uniquely identify or contact a single person. Personal information we collect may include your name, phone number, mailing address, e-mail address. We never collect payment information. Our goal in gathering this information is to keep track of our donor database.
Security
All info collected on the Shadhika website is password protected and secure.
All online Shadhika donations go through Givesmart (formerly Mobilecause). Givesmart’s Privacy Plocy can be accessed here. Their security statement is as follows:
“MobileCause is committed to protecting the privacy of our customers donors. MobileCause does not sell, trade or rent personal information about our donors with third-party organizations. The donor data belongs to our customers and stored on our servers on their behalf.
“While no website can guarantee security, we maintain appropriate physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your personal information collected via the website. We protect our databases with various physical, technical and procedural measures and we restrict access to your information by unauthorized persons. We also advise all MobileCause employees about their responsibility to protect customer data and we provide them with appropriate guidelines for adhering to our company’s business ethics standards and confidentiality policies. Inside MobileCause, data is stored in password-controlled servers with limited access.”
Safeguarding
Participant Protection and human rights are paramount to Shadhika. Shadhika upholds the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), which states to protect Participants from all forms of physical and mental abuse, injury or abuse, neglect or negligent treatment, maltreatment, or exploitation, including sexual abuse….). This ethos underpins and sustains all Shadhika’s policies and programs in pursuit of our vision of every young woman and man experiencing life in all its fullness.
Shadhika acknowledges its expectation that its employees and others who work with Shadhika have Participant’s best interests at the heart of their involvement with Shadhika.
Shadhika’s detailed Participant Protection Policy demonstrates our commitment to safeguarding Participants from harm and makes clear to all in the organization and who come into contact with us what is required in relation to the protection of Participants, that abuse in any form is unacceptable to Shadhika, and that Participants’ privacy and dignity are safeguarded at all times.
Use of Cookies
Shadhika itself does not use cookies. MobileCause’s statement on cookies is as follows:
“We may use cookies for a number of purposes – for example, to maintain continuity during a user session or to store a user name or encrypted identification number so that you do not have to provide this information every time you return to our website.
