Another successful Mela!
The Mela, our annual fundraiser, was held on the last Sunday in April in Palo Alto. The weather was gorgeous and the guests had a great time sampling Indian food, bidding on auction items and watching young dancers show off their Kathak and Bollywood moves. Most of all, everyone donated generously to support our projects for the women and children in India. On behalf of the projects and the people they serve, thank you!News from our projects: Shadhika offers hearty congratulations to Paripurnata, the first project supported by Shadhika, for receiving the CNN-India 'Real Heroes' award! This is a huge national honor and we are thrilled that Paripurnata is getting the richly deserved recognition for the deep impact it has on the lives of the impoverished and mentally ill women in Kolkata.
